Top Shop entrants are now in, and it’s over to the public to vote.

The Top Shop Awards are all about celebrating great customer service and are open to all businesses that have customers. Over the past month, local businesses have been brave and bold and entered themselves to be in the running to win this coveted award, and now it’s over to the public to decide who they believe should be named Top Shop!

So what defines great customer service? Customer Service Trainer Bronwyn Lord Founder of Nevis Training commented ‘’A business that provides a sense of belonging and personal connection to their customers that builds lasting relationships. In today's digital age, customers expect a seamless and a personalised experience across all touch points’’.

Top Shop is an opportunity for the public to get involved and have their say on the business that delivers the best customer experience in both the Kāpiti and Horowhenua regions.

With the support of One New Zealand, the Top Shop Awards voting will be run entirely from your mobile phones, with a text-to-vote platform. 

All you need to do is take a look at the registered business list on this website and instructions to text your vote in to get involved!

What should the public be looking for when casting their vote? Bronwyn Lord felt there should be three key things taken into consideration here, ‘’A business that does one or all of the following, responds to all requests in a timely manner, listens to and understands its customers' needs and shows a willingness to help’’.

Voting is open from the 24th of April to the 8th of May with the winner for both Kāpiti and Horowhenua regions being announced at the Electra Business & Innovation Awards Night in October.
