Business Kapiti Horowhenua (BKH) Inc

Business Kapiti Horowhenua Incorporated (BKH) is a volunteer-run, not-for-profit, body which organises the annual Electra Kāpiti Horowhenua Business & Innovation Awards, and convenes and coordinates the Kāpiti Horowhenua Business Hall of Fame.

BKH Membership

Open to anyone over 18 years of age. All entrants of the previous year’s business awards become members unless they have indicated they do not wish to be. The membership fee is currently zero dollars. Please note donations are welcome, email awards@bkh.org.nz for details.

Industry Judges are recruited based on their professional area of expertise. This group of Judges is responsible for the first round of Judging and identifying our finalists each year.

  • Geoff Lewis - Manufacturing, Production and Processing

  • Sarah Meikle - Hospitality, Entertainment and Tourism

A volunteer judging panel of judges oversee the awards processes and make all final decisions on finalists and winners:

Entry Coordinator

BKH contracts Charlotte Tollervey and Natalie Rutene from PomPom to coordinate all entries along with the judging process for the 2025 Awards and event management services for the Awards Night and other minor events throughout the programme.
